4 Ways to Give Money Purpose

Hey new friend.

While you’re giving your life and business purpose, don’t forget about your money.

Yes, it’s time for you to give your money purpose.

How?

By intentionally thinking about what you need money (which is just a tool of exchange) to do to sustain or enhance your quality of life.

How much will it cost to live the life of your dreams? Are your financial goals in alignment to secure your financial success?

I’m not telling you what to do with your money, but as a Certified Financial Life Coach, I’m sharing with you that money is all mindset. It’s about transforming how you see yourself with money, the borrowed beliefs passed down from generation to generation. It’s the speaking life into your finances, instead of repeating the same negative money messages over and over again. It’s about observing your money habits and making small changes.

You can change the narrative when it comes to money, by simply DECIDING that you have more power than you believe. It may take a bit of unlearning past conditioning, but your path to wealth is yours if you take the first step. Believing in yourself and your financial success.

  1. Get your ish together and deal with it. Are you forcing yourself to live below the lifestyle you want because you don’t think you can financially receive more? Are you talking yourself out of million-dollar ideas? Are you avoiding your finances hoping they’ll magically change? Your financial situation won’t change until you do. You’re the brains behind the thoughts and habits. Until you change your relationship with money you’ll always get just enough, because that’s what you believe you can have. What’s the new narrative you want to have when it comes to your finances?
  2. Thoughts become habits. My two love languages are acts of service and words of affirmation. These two languages are necessary when you’re building a relationship with money as well. What phrases are you repeating daily? What words are you speaking over your finances? Are they positive and abundant or filled with negativity and lack? What about your habits when it comes to money? Are you spending because you’re uncomfortable holding onto money or do you save for fear you’ll never receive more?
  3. Create a financial plan. This is a snapshot of where you are now, what you want to accomplish in the future, and the action plan to get there. Start viewing yourself as a wealthy woman, the money may not have caught up to you yet, but that means preparing for it now. This could also entail you creating a budget, spending plan, savings plan, investment plan, or debt payoff plan.
  4. What are your future financial needs? You need an in case ish happens fund, retirement fund of some kind (talk to your financial advisor about starting a solo 401K for your business), a business reserve, an emergency fund, and a savings account. You will get old, you will have something come up that you'll need money for. Why borrow from someone else when you can put yourself in a position to have it now?  Decide which type of account you will open, fund it monthly, and leave it alone.

Living life with purpose includes having your finances in order. You deserve to live the life you want, but that means being intentional and facing your financial situation. Start now so that you can start creating the security, the freedom, and the experiences that money affords you, that’s what gives life more purpose.
